Job Description

We implement information-driven strategies and systems that help grow, optimize, and protect client organizations. We go beyond strategy and provide end to end implementation of real-life data environments and have some of the best technology architects, project managers, business analysts, data scientists, big data engineers, developers, and consultants in the region.

We are looking for Data Scientists within the DnA team in our Malaysia office. This role is offered on a full-time basis.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead a team of data scientists on both technical and business issues
• Develop data science projects by defining objectives and establishing timelines
• Communicate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to provide updates on progress and ensure alignment with objectives
• Work with diverse stakeholders to identify their challenges with data that can be addressed using various Analysis techniques.

• Responsible for communicating analytics model behavior/results to business
• Apply strong understanding of data science techniques and libraries to business problems
• Be involved in all aspects of the Project life cycle, including Strategy, Road-Mapping, Architecture, Implementation and Development in order to gain maximum exposure to set you up for a successful consulting career.

Skills and attributes for success

• At least 5 years’ experience in a Data Science/Machine Learning role
• Project delivery toolset experience in one or more data science/machine learning toolkits (such as Anaconda, Jupyter, R Studio, Matlab, SPSS, SAP Analytics Cloud, Azure Machine Learning and similar) with some knowledge of data integration tools (such as Kafka, Nifi, SSIS, Alteryx, etc.)
• Knowledge and experience in end-to-end project delivery, either traditional SDLC or agile delivery methodologies (or hybrid approaches)
• Knowledge or background in data engineering is a plus
• Experience in data science, machine learning, statistical modeling data mining, and related fields
• Understanding of Big Data and cloud-based data architecture
• Demonstrated experience applying data science methods to real-world data problems
• Exceptional communication, documentation, and presentation skills
• Proficient with relational databases (i.e., SQL)
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or IT or similar professional experience

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience in engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Consulting experience and background, including engaging directly with clients
• Experience in a delivery role on Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Big Data or analytics projects
