The LCCI (Lilly Capability Center India) Business Insights & Analytics team was started in 2017 with the objective of using innovative data mining and analytics to support business decisions to Marketing and Access functions in the US and ex-US affiliates (focused on in-line and pre-launch brands). This team has rapidly grown and currently comprises of more than 100 staff members, with varied backgrounds and skills across data management, data sciences, analytical techniques, pharmaceutical commercial operations, and business insights. The team provides analytics outcomes for driving decision making across Lilly’s Marketing, Sales, Payer Access, Medical Affairs, and a range of other functions.

To support these teams in their decision-making, a data and analytics team has been set up simultaneously in Indianapolis (HQ) and Bengaluru (LCCI). This team is responsible for setting up the data warehouses necessary to handle large volumes of digital streaming data, create meaningful analyses using that data, and deliver recommendations to leadership.

As part of the LCCI team, we have an exciting opportunity for the role of a Payer Analytics Team Lead who will be an integral part of the US Payer Analytics pillar within BI&A. The purpose of this role is to lead a team comprising of creative problem solvers who support achievement of payer access/ account access goals for various Lilly brands in the US market to identify opportunity for driving growth, while always striving for process improvement and innovation. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast paced environment, be focused on translating strategy to execution, demonstrate ability to prioritize key deliverables, and have strong collaboration and communication skills.

Project Management

  • Ensures quality, speed, value, and compliance throughout the analytics value chain
  • Establishes project management for seamless project execution, prioritization and high-quality delivery from the team
  • Supports creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality checklists that will enable excellent quality outputs for all outputs within the function
  • Facilitates shared learning forums to identify challenges and establish best practices across the team
  • Continues to expand the analytical capability of the team by taking on more complex projects and delivering value
  • Identifies improvement opportunities and implementation of analytical best practices
  • People Management

  • Conducts effective one-on-one coaching sessions using the Lilly coaching framework by encouraging two-way dialogue and open feedback, listening actively, being flexible, and identifying knowledge, skill and performance gaps.

Required

  • 8+ years of analytics experience with demonstrated ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment in analytics
  • 2+ years of experience in handling teams
  • Experience in pharma industry is preferable
  • Technical Skills
  • Strong experience in SQL
  • Strong experience in data visualization tools e.g. Tableau
  • Strong experience in R/ Python/ SAS
  • Strong knowledge of various US healthcare datasets like LAAD, NPA, DDD, MMIT, OneKey, Specialty Pharmacy data, Co-pay Card data etc
  • Experience in HCP/ HCO targeting, segmentation projects
  • Advanced MS-office skills (MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
  • Experience with AWS cloud services: Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, Quicksight, Sagemaker

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Engineering, Maths, or Statistics) from a Tier-I institution; MBA highly preferred
