The LCCI (Lilly Capability Center India) Business Insights & Analytics team was started in 2017 with the objective of using innovative data mining and analytics to support business decisions to Marketing and Access functions in the US and ex-US affiliates (focused on in-line and pre-launch brands). This team has rapidly grown and currently comprises of more than 100 staff members, with varied backgrounds and skills across data management, data sciences, analytical techniques, pharmaceutical commercial operations, and business insights. The team provides analytics outcomes for driving decision making across Lilly’s Marketing, Sales, Payer Access, Medical Affairs, and a range of other functions.

To support these teams in their decision-making, a data and analytics team has been set up simultaneously in Indianapolis (HQ) and Bengaluru (LCCI). This team is responsible for setting up the data warehouses necessary to handle large volumes of digital streaming data, create meaningful analyses using that data, and deliver recommendations to leadership.

As part of the LCCI team, we have an exciting opportunity for the role of a Payer Analytics Consultant who will be an integral part of the US Payer Analytics pillar within BI&A. The purpose of this role is to perform account level analytics and payer access analytics for various Lilly brands in the US market to drive growth and access.

Core Responsibilities:

Project Execution: as individual contributor, primarily responsible for account level analytics to support business decisions by Lilly Value & Access group in USA

• Actively participating in various phases of the account-level/payer access analytics project including kick-off, methodology development, execution, insight generation and data visualizations
• Build and exhibit expertise on available data sets including patient, prescription, and payer mapping datasets from external suppliers (LAAD, NPA, DDD, MMIT, OneKey, Merative etc) and other sources as needed
• Integrate new data sources for specific payers or use cases, such as Real World data, Specialty Pharmacy data, Co-pay card data and payer-specific HCPs, if available
• Assess risks and outcomes associated with value based contracting arrangements including patient cohort building, statistical analysis of expected outcomes, and drawing insights from aggregation and validation of adjudicated results
• Maintain a broad understanding of payer contracting and be fully engaged with business teams, bringing an objective voice to the table, and facilitating decisions grounded in data
• Participating in meetings with stakeholders and communicating the final outputs and recommendations

Project Delivery: as team member, supporting the team lead in driving

• quality, speed, value, and compliance throughout the analytics value chain
• project management for seamless project execution, prioritization, and high-quality delivery
• creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality checklists that will enable reliable outputs
• shared learning forums to identify challenges and establish best practices
• expansion of analytical capability of the team by taking on more complex projects and delivering value
• process improvements and implementation of analytical best practices

Required

• 8+ years of analytics experience with demonstrated ability to think strategically in an ambiguous environment in analytics
• 2+ years of experience in Payer analytics
• Technical Skills
• Strong experience in SQL
• Strong experience in data visualization tools e.g. Tableau
• Strong experience in R/ Python/ SAS
• Strong knowledge of various US healthcare datasets like LAAD, NPA, DDD, MMIT, OneKey, Specialty Pharmacy data, Co-pay Card data etc
• Experience in HCP/ HCO targeting, segmentation projects
• Advanced MS-office skills (MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint)
• Experience with AWS cloud services: Redshift, S3, Glue, Lambda, Quicksight, Sagemaker

Education:

• Degree in quantitative discipline i.e. Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Business Analytics, Engineering or Computer Sciences from Tier-I institute
