Purpose: The purpose of the RWE Analyst role is to work with cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams to develop disease dashboards, deliver RWE projects/tools and data broker projects in support of RWE Center of Excellence (COE) research to improve efficiency of this work.

  • Development of Disease Dashboards
  • Design, develop and deliver user friendly and interactive dashboards per business requirements
  • Work closely with VEO scientists to develop solutions which meet the business needs
  • Develop detailed documentation & specifications with cohort and variable definitions
  • Provide direction to scientists on best possible dashboard structures
  • Present dashboard and data insights to the scientists
  • Maintain and revise dashboards as and when needed
  • Seek out opportunities to attract and develop new dashboards with the help of new scientists and customers within Lilly
  • Demonstrate skills by helping team refine and standardize processes and dashboard related documents
  • RWE Project Delivery
  • Work in routine with VEO scientists to conduct RWE methods research and develop timelines and working plan
  • Perform in-depth research on disease background and understand the business need thoroughly
  • Independently develop and finalise study documents such as high-level research protocols, statistical analysis plans and analysis specifications
  • Conduct data analysis with variety of data sources ensuring quality and efficiency, while maintaining documentation and complying with pre-defined study standards
  • Influence or negotiate change of timelines and content with scientists
  • Develop project report and deliver tables, figures, listings according to specifications
  • Assist publication process and collaborate with medical writing team to ensure timely delivery of abstracts, posters and manuscripts
  • Contribute to RWE process improvements, including projects that make RWE COE staff more efficient.
  • Provide database and other tool (e.g., RWE analytic tools) expertise.
  • Lead, scope, and deliver data broker projects to give a GPORWE scientist list of potential data sources for their research.

  • Work with internal and external experts to develop and prepare
  • Network with others to identify and share best practices globally
  • Pilot new work and evaluate/make recommendation on the new work
  • Train yourself as and when required to support diversification of work
  • Engage in activities supporting reward and recognition, teambuilding, and diversity
  • Support cross-functional coaching, mentoring, and training

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree with:
  • at least 2-6 years’ experience and/or knowledge in health outcomes research, statistical analysis, and epidemiology
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of healthcare data sources used in outcomes research
  • Demonstrated mastery of written English with experience in medical, scientific or technical writing fields (at least 1 year); professional verbal skills in English.
  • Strong health informatics and programming skills. Excellent programming skills in statistical packages such as SAS or R.
  • Cognitive abilities including; verbal reasoning, attention to detail, critical thinking, and analytical ability.
  • Demonstrated project management and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be flexible in varying environments and with multiple customer groups.
  • Demonstrated high-level end-user computer skills (e.g., word processing, tables and graphics, spreadsheets, presentation and templates).

Other Information:

  • Epidemiology, clinical pharmacology, therapeutic area, or other medical and scientific specific knowledge and experience (e.g., neuroscience, immunology, oncology, or endocrine expertise).
  • Expertise with clinical vocabularies, terminologies, or coding systems that are structured to represent the care and treatment of patients. Terms cover diagnoses, findings, operations, treatments, drugs, administrative items etc., with examples being SNOMED, ICD, CPT, RXNORM, etc.,.
  • Expertise with external health data and information standards for the structure, processing, and delivery of health information. This includes the issues of information representation and interoperability between systems.
  • Publication experience.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Limited travel, up to approximately 10%
