WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

• As a senior data scientist in the SCIB Data Science team you will deliver strategic advanced analytics techniques and Machine Learning scalable solutions to solve business requirements in SCIB.
• You will apply and advise on state-of-the-art advanced analytic and quantitative tools and modeling techniques in order to derive business insights, solve complex business problems and improve decision.
• You will proactively work collaboratively with the different SCIB stakeholders (Business, Compliance, CDO, IT, Operations, ...) to implement these solutions across the Organization.
• Also, you will develop Data Science expertise within SCIB CDO team, mentoring junior data scientists.

EXPERIENCE

• 5+ years of relevant experience in Data Science role with a strong background on mathematics and computer science
• Demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, and managing multiple analytic projects with diverse cross-functional stakeholders
• Skills to communicate complex ideas effectively
• A background in apply advanced analytic / ML in data discovery and data quality use cases will be desirable.
• Knowledge in data governance will be a plus

 EDUCATION

University Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related scientific disciplines

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, data mining, unstructured data analytics in corporate and/or academic research environments
• Expert in statistical and other tools/ languages – e.g. R, Python, S-plus, SAS, STATA, C, C++, Java, Scala
• Proven background in at least one of the following: Reliability models, Markov Models, Stochastic Models, Bayesian Modelling, Classification Models, Cluster Analysis, Neural Network, Non-parametric methods, Multivariate statistics
• Aptitude to learn, think creativity to solve real world business problems, and work in a global collaborative team environment
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills and high level in English
• Machine Learning: Classification, Regression, Clustering, Unsupervised methods, Text Mining. Excellent understanding of Random Forests, Gradient Boosting, Neural Networks, Logistic Regression, SVM, KNN, K-Means, etc. Parametric and non-parametric statistics.
• Database handling: SQL, Hive, Oracle, HBase, ....
• Visualization tools: D3.js, Power BI, QSense ....
• Knowledºge of data discovery, data quality and data governance
