Santander Consumer Finance is looking for a Data Scientist Coordinator, based in our Boadilla del Monte office.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a Data Scientist Coordinator you will help with the design thinking process to detect data explotation business opportunities, communicate those opportunities and results to key stakeholders, and manage a multi-cultural team of data scientists and engineers on diverse projects.

We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:

• Define data needs from internal or external sources
• Define machine learning models control frame for local models
• Explore large data sets and combine data analytics with programming skills to identify business potentials
• Manage project execution and follow-on delivery validation
• Lead and “Self-execute” end-to-end projects and/ or model development
• Lead the implementation and control of model governance across SCF
• Execute data analysis process, including data cleaning, enhancement, feature extraction, etc.

EXPERIENCE

• +5 years of hands-on data science experience
• +1/2 years of experience managing data science/big data teams.

EDUCATION

• Degree MS/PhD in a quantitative field (Engineering, Math, Physics, … )
• MBA nice to have

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

• Strong working knowledge of regression, classification, clustering, and other standard algorithms
• Strong programming experience in Python and its data science ecosystem (scikit-learn, pandas, numpy)
• Strong knowledge in MLOps infrastructure capabilities (Azure and/ or AWS)
• Good knowledge of BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, Microstrategy, Spotifier, Qlik, …

OTHER INFORMATION

• High level of English (C1)
