Key Role:
Provide consultation and strategic guidance to federal agency chief enterprise architects, CIOs, and other senior IT staff to help shape IT strategy and direction for large and complex agency IT ecosystems. Work as part of an Enterprise Services (ES) program team and lead efforts to analyze and rationalize the technology portfolio, including technical standards, infrastructure, products, and versions. Collect information and demonstrate knowledge of the current technology portfolio. Model and analyze technology risks, determine technological dependencies through engineering analysis, and provide strategies for optimizing the portfolio based on predetermined criteria. Process and evaluate requests for new changes in the technology environment and help ES leadership determine their suitability. Model and analyze enterprise business, applications, and technology environments, including business process models, conceptual and logical infrastructure views, data concepts, and logical views. Recommend and provide strategies for adopting current architectural and technology paradigms based on knowledge of industry best practices and the client environment, including Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Event Driven Architecture (EDA), Big Data analytics, virtualization, cloud computing, and managed services.
