As an Energy Data Analyst, you can turn these complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges related to power, water, and critical infrastructure. You’ll work closely with your customer to understand their questions and needs, apply analytical skills, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn disparate data points into objective answers that help clients make informed decisions. You’ll provide your customer with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Join us as we use energy modeling for good in consulting. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience applying data analytics in to measure energy efficiency, analyze consumption and evaluate projects.
  • Experience pulling data from multiple sources to use in business intelligence applications, dashboards, data charting or visualizations to reach useful conclusions and deliver insightful recommendations.
  • Knowledge of financial concepts and the energy market, including utility business models.
  • Ability to independently lead and project manage teams to produce analytic deliverables.
  • Ability to stand up new analytical models in Excel, including technical, economic, or financial models.
  • Ability to evaluate the value and impact of on-site energy projects, including deployment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure, electricity storage, distributed generation, and energy efficiency measures.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience creating technical, financial, climate, and risk models.
  • Experience using programming language such asR and Python.
  • Experience using visual software such asTableau and Power BI.
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possession of excellent interpersonal skills to work with various stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, utility staff, regulators, and federal clients.
  • Master’s Degree in data analytics, economics, business administration, finance, or energy-relatedfield
