As a Project Manager within our dynamic AI Chip Design Team, you will play a key role in delivering groundbreaking AI solutions. Your responsibilities encompass a diverse range of tasks, combining project management expertise and software engineering with finesse.

You will

Managerial Expertise

• Analyze project achievements and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met.
• Customer Engagement: Effectively communicate project status and updates to partners, maintaining clarity and alignment with their objectives.
• Customer Requirement Management: Be the liaison between Sony AI customers and the development team, capturing, refining, and coordinating customer requirements to steer the project towards success.
• Strategic Planning: Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the project by contributing to strategic planning and decision-making, ensuring it remains at the forefront of AI innovation.

Technical Excellence

• Streamlined Software Development: Collaborate closely with AI experts in the field to help translate proof-of-concept to deployable solutions.
• Coding Proficiency: You will contribute to coding efforts, drawing from a background in software engineering. Perform regular code-reviews, to ensure best practices. This includes the crucial task of creating robust testing procedures.

You will bring

• Proven experience in Project Management
• Bachelor, Master’s or PhD in computer science, software engineering, or related fields
• Excellent knowledge of AI tools, frameworks and algorithms
• Experience in AI technologies related to the Semiconductor or Hardware field
• Experience with Scrum and Agile methodologies
• Excellent knowledge of AI tools, frameworks and algorithms
• Expertise in CI/CD practices and testing methodologies
• Exceptional verbal and written English skills
• Good hardware design knowledge
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of Japanese (written and oral) is a plus.
• Experience with front-end development is a plus.
• PO/PM certifications are a plus.
