Job Description

• Assisting the engineers and scientists in building robotics system prototypes.
• Calibration and maintenance of electromechanical and vision systems equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized lab environment following safety policies and hold others accountable for following these guides.
• Ensuring safe laboratory environment and practices.
• Coordinating new equipment acquisition and installation.
• Organizing lab supplies and materials and tracking inventory.
• Maintaining the robotics and automation laboratory equipment.

Qualifications:

• Graduated from Technical School or higher, in electrical/mechanical technology or related field.
• Good knowledge of Japanese and English.
• Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in an industrial environment is a must.

Skills and experience:

• Basic knowledge of electromechanical systems
• Basic knowledge of camera systems
• Ability and willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to work independently within a team and strong attention to detail and deadlines.
• Experience with Ubuntu or other Linux distributions is a plus.
• Experience in 3D CAD design software or 3D printing software is a plus.
• Experience in cabling is a plus.
• Experience in electrical circuits is a plus.
• Experience with imaging systems & camera technology and camera calibration is a plus.
• Strong sense of transparency and honesty.
