Join the DuPont R&D technical community as an R&D Application Specialist. We are seeking an experienced, energetic, and solution-oriented individual who will take ownership of the R&D document management solution. This person will be a part of the IDS Research Solutions team and will manage a key asset for DuPont research: our Electronic Document Library (EDL). In managing this asset, the person will enable DuPont innovation and maximize the value of technical information through documentation, collaboration with other Research Solutions applications, and building strong networks focused on improving our internal technical report literacy. 

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Own the digital application for scientific experiment documentation and associated databases (Electronic Document Library); technically responsible for the application as well as a thought leader and driver for technical documentation methods
• Build relationships with DuPont R&D Scientists and Engineers to identify and comprehend their needs to develop the long-term roadmap for the EDL system for system upgrades and enhancements to fulfill their needs (e.g., understand the research process, needs, and gaps to build the project roadmap; determine future upgrades; investigate new tools or workflows)
• Build relationships with the DuPont Information Technology organization to ensure digital documentation applications meet security requirements for information storage, access control, and unique business security needs
• Information gathering and data curation to generate Dashboards to facilitate application consumption insights
• Build relationships with the IDS team and R&D scientists, engineers, external contractors, consultants, and partners needed to efficiently and effectively implement and support digital technology solutions to enable R&D innovation and objectives
• Interact with the IDS organization and partners to optimize and automate the data analysis and visualization tools
• Effectively communicate complex technical ideas associated with information management best practices to all stakeholders. Comfortable identifying and communicating translating the needs of the scientist to IT.

Your Qualification Profile:

• BS/MS in Science (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Computer Science, etc.), Computer Science, Engineering (e.g, Chemical, Data, etc.), Information Management, or related field (or equivalent)
• At least 2 years of project management experience
• Familiarity with information management solutions: Digital Document Storage solutions, Chemical Intelligent Systems, Electronic Lab Notebooks, Inventory Management Systems, etc.
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to apply frameworks and methodologies such as Agile and SCRUM throughout a project’s lifecycle.
• Proficient at networking and sharing ideas and success. 

Preferred Technical Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Tools (Automate, Power BI, and Power Apps)
• Experience in application data integration with relational databases: Oracle, MS SQL, and/or Marklogic Servers
• At least 2 years of relevant software development experience at least two of the following languages: KNIME, Pipeline Pilot, Python, Java, Node.js (JavaScript), C#, etc.
• Support code environments for the Information & Data Sciences organization through proficiency within Gitlab

• Candidate will be working onsite or hybrid setting (3 days on-site / 2 days remote)
• Periodic travel will be required (less than 10%)
