Job Description

DuPont is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team at Spark Digital. The team specializes in data engineering, business intelligence, advanced analytics, data science, and machine learning. We are looking for a highly skilled programmer who has experience building scalable data pipelines for Data Science solutions in Cloud environments like Azure, AWS, Databricks using python language frameworks.

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Design, develop, and launch extremely efficient and reliable data pipelines using Python frameworks to move data and to provide intuitive analytics to our partner teams.
• Develop within existing designs of various solutions in Microsoft Azure environment to help the business get valuable insights.
• Collaborate with other engineers and Data Scientists to discover the best solutions.
• Diagnose and solve issues in our existing data pipelines and envision and build their successors.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

A successful candidate must have:

• Bachelor’s in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience building data pipelines using variety of tools including but not limited to Python, Shell script, Data Lake, PySpark.
• Proficiency working with Python specifically as it relates to data processing. Must have 5-7 years of recent working experience.
• Fluent in English and French.
• Deep understanding of Data Lake technologies like Spark/Databricks/Snowflake.
• Experience working in any Cloud computing platforms like AWS/Azure.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of DevOps/Git for agile planning and code repository.
• High capacity for learning new technologies.
