What you’ll be doing...

As a Data Scientist you will own and perform specific analytics tasks as well as lead and drive end to end solutions for AI/ML use cases with guidance from your team lead and manager. Responsibilities include:

  • Driving data-derived insights across the business domain by developing advanced statistical models, machine learning algorithms and computational algorithms based on business initiatives.
  • Analyzing structured and unstructured data using data mining/statistical/machine learning/deep learning tools, Data visualization, Digital/Web analytics tools and techniques and storytelling.
  • Building and training statistical models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Designing, developing, and testing custom analytic software systems for telecommunications and data communications applications.
  • Effectively working in an inter-disciplinary team environment.
  • Coordinating with project management, software architects, other engineering and data science teams in determining overall system solutions.
  • Supporting the scoping and implementation of technical solutions.
  • Appling both procedural and object oriented techniques and Agile methodologies.
  • Preparing all the supporting documents and reports.
  • Mentoring/Guiding one to two members in the team on technical aspects as needed.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in advanced analytics/ predictive modelling using ML/DL libraries like TensorFlow, H20, Pytorch, Sci-kit Learn.
  • Experiences in designing, developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex data analytic pipelines and ML model applications using Spark, HDFS and other big data related technologies.
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background investigation as a condition of employment.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in computer science, applied math, statistics or other relevant quantitative discipline, or equivalent industry experience
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience in advanced analytics/ predictive modelling using ML/DL libraries like TensorFlow, H20, Pytorch, Sci-kit Learn.
  • Master's degree in computer science, applied math, or statistics.
  • Experience in using NLP, Bi/Visual analytics, Graph Databases like Neo4j/OrientDB/Neptune.
  • Programming in Python and R using distributed frameworks like PySpark, Spark, SparkR.
  • Familiarity of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, and SVM.
  • Experience with extraction, transformation and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using Apache NiFi.
  • Familiarity with virtualization/containerization, DevOps and CI/CD tools for automation of build, packaging, deployment, and testing
  • Experience with Atlassian’s agile development tools including Bitbucket, Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
