What you’ll be doing...

The Artificial Intelligence & Data (AI&D) Organization is an exciting center of excellence supporting all of Verizon. Our team will be a catalyst to Verizon's future in creating networks that move the world forward through the power of Artificial Intelligence & Data.

You will be a strategic thinker joining a high profile, high visibility team that powers analytics and strategic thinking for Verizon. The Market and Network Intelligence team focuses on using competitive intelligence and network data to enable decision making and drive insights into the business. You will be part of the team that builds tools, analyses, and insights that informs, quantifies, and enables the visualization of data. The business insights and recommendations you provide will help to improve Verizon’s performance.

• Performing ad-hoc analysis and developing reproducible analytical approaches to meet business requirements
• Performing exploratory and targeted data analyses using descriptive statistics and other methods
• Performing geospatial analyses and creating geospatial visualizations
• Storytelling with data to effectively communicate the analytical insights you discover
• Presenting results and recommendations to management and business users
• Detailing and demonstrating solutions by developing wireframes, production documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and models

What we’re looking for...

With an eye towards improving performance and predictability, you like the science of analytics. Developing resolutions to complex problems, using your sharp judgment to develop methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria allows you to deliver solutions that make a huge impact. You’re able to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences, and you take pride in your ability to share your considerable knowledge with your peers.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Basic understanding of 4GLTE/5G Technologies, IP Networking, RF/SP engineering tools / principles
• Experience in applying statistical ideas and methods to data sets to answer business problems
• Experience with storytelling with data
• Experience with visual science / dashboard design
• Experience with Python, Spark, and SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
• Experience with developing insights, presenting, and influencing strategic decisions using data
• MBA or similar
• Technical knowledge of improving system performance, capacity, reliability and scalability of the network
• Experience with geospatial analytics
• Strong understanding of data science
• Experience with process, data, and automation work
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with Alteryx or similar ETL/geospatial tools
• Working knowledge of Data Engineering techniques
• Proven ability to present complex or technical topics in an engaging way

If you are hired into a Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, or New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $111,000.00 and $227,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
