The Human Health & Performance Systems Group is searching for a candidate to join the Neurocognitive Technologies team and lead aspects of projects related to detecting, monitoring, and rehabilitating psychological, neurological and sensory (e.g., auditory, visual, vestibular) disorders, neurotrauma, and cognitive overload and fatigue. The signal processing aspect of the work involves innovating new approaches to analyzing human data over time, including physiological data, EEG data, and vocal biomarker data. The systems engineering aspect of the work could include initial system development analysis, such as elicitation of user information, formalizing this information in the form of workflow analyses & personas, and translating this information into technology development requirements. Other human system integration work could include performing fieldwork to aid the evaluation of technologies, creating technology evaluation plans, developing human-subjects institutional review board materials, and integrating the resulting information into analyses and technology development prioritizations.
The candidate will lead the development and operationalization of neural-science-based algorithms, brain and human computer interfaces, and computational models, as well as data collection and analysis.
