TASKS

We are looking for you to support our team from July 2023 - our interdisciplinary team is driving digital transformation at two of our largest production sites. We accompany digitization projects from brainstorming through the first prototypes to commissioning. We use a wide range of modern methods from data science, machine learning, statistics, modeling, scientific computing and software development, and rely on flat hierarchies and agile working.

• You will become part of our team and work with us to advance innovative projects for the digitization of production and infrastructure.
• You will work closely with local companies and a cross-departmental and cross-unit network of experts. The focus of your work depends on your interests and skills.
• Possible topics are e.g. B. data-driven model development for the simulation and optimization of process engineering processes, construction of intelligent assistance and expert systems or the implementation of interactive dashboards and web apps.
• If required, our supercomputer Quriosity (among the top 200 worldwide!) is at your disposal.
• If there is mutual interest, a thesis can be written after the internship.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Studies in applied mathematics, statistics, natural sciences, computer science or engineering
• Enjoy working with data and modeling (using statistics, machine learning and/or differential equations)
• Good knowledge of Python, R or a comparable programming language
• ideally experience in creating graphical user interfaces
• Very good knowledge of German and English (at least C1 in one of the two languages)
