Job Description

Our interdisciplinary Digital Innovation team drives the digital transformation in various areas such as production, supply and disposal, network control and logistics.

We use modern methods from applied mathematics, data science, computer science and automation technology. The main focus is on machine learning, big data analytics and model-based simulation and optimization.

• You are at the forefront of the digital transformation of the process industry, be it the development of fully autonomous plants, the application of machine learning for capacity predictions, or the optimization of production processes.
• You will drive digitization in projects across units and in an interdisciplinary manner with production companies and improve processes and products through digital technologies and solutions.
• The focus of your work can be adapted to your skills and interests.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Above-average master's degree with at least two years of professional experience in the chemical industry or related industries, or a doctorate in engineering or natural sciences with a technical background
• Extensive experience and fun working with data and mathematical models (machine learning or first-principle/rigorous modelling)
• Knowledge of at least one programming language, ideally Python or R and experience in developing complex software
• Experience in the areas of process simulation and optimization is an advantage
• Fast and independent familiarization with new topics
• Open, enthusiastic and result-oriented personality
• very good communication in German and Englis
