We provide IT that works and offer know-how and access to latest technologies in the areas of cloud computing, blockchain or big data.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Join our team Production AI - Plant & Site Analytics (GDD/EB) and provide BASF-wide data solutions for multiple application areas within production. You will cover the entire solution life cycle, that is, development, testing, deployment, and operations.

• You will design, implement, test and maintain cloud-based architectures and tools and develop processes for data modeling, mining, and production.
• You recommend ways to improve data quality, reliability, and efficiency.
• You support the development of new solutions and take care of existing ones.
• You are familiar with data engineering tasks e.g., identifying and tying together different data sources, cleaning, contextualization and setting up automated transformation pipelines.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Degree in computer Science, (process) engineering or in a comparable field with background in chemical process engineering, mathematics, statistics, or natural sciences
• Field-proven experience with cloud native services (Microsoft Azure) are welcome, as well as experience with data mining and data analysis in Python (or similar) and related libraries
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including data visualization; especially in quantitative topics discussed with non-technical colleagues
• Very good knowledge of English
• Good problem-solving skills in modelling and implementation and hands-on working attitude to ensure the rollout of solutions
