The position
As Expert Scientific Data Architect you will be responsible for the scoping and technical design of highly complex data products supporting key scientific capabilities in Novo Nordisk such as Disease Understanding, Lead Identification/Optimisation, or Laboratory Automation. You will lead the overall architecture design of scientific data products across multiple product teams each consisting of 5-10 members.
In this position, you will operate with high independence and act as the primary expert within own field and scope. You will lead and complete highly complex tasks with no or minimum supervision.
You will design the blueprints, enablers and platforms for data products that accelerate scientific analysis and in-silico experimentation. Data products often rely on advanced digital technologies such as machine learning, big data and visualization. Robust platforms and correct pipeline configurations are critical for the validity of scientific results and the effective execution of digital science.

You will be part of the Scientific Architecture unit in Data Management & Informatics (DMI). DMI is responsible for providing scientific data and software products to support the global research and early development organisation at Novo Nordisk. Our work spans driving digitalisation of laboratories, enabling scientific data capture, creating harmonized data for analytics, and providing informatics tools. We enable disruptive innovation and data driven decision making across areas that include disease understanding, molecular design, portfolio management and external scouting.
