The position:

Your key responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

  • Create overview and strategy for important and relevant external Danish and EU stakeholders and engagements for Data Science and Development in Novo Nordisk
  • Develop and maintain strategies for engaging with key stakeholders that affect our ability to innovate within Data Science in the development value chain.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key Danish and EU stakeholders, including national boards and ministries, public and private organisations, political stakeholders, and institutes, and academics.
  • Serve as the Data Science and Novo Nordisk representative in key external meetings, forums, conferences, and engagement with Danish and EU stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans to ensure Novo Nordisk vision is being brought forward in due time to relevant stakeholders and during relevant processes.
  • Monitor and analyse the development of both Danish and international legislation and regulations that can impact the data science and development organisation.
  • Develop and implement plans for communicating with relevant stakeholders.
  • Be a point of contact for numerous experts throughout the Development organisation and ensure request for expert input is handled timely and efficiently.
  • Ensure numerous stakeholder inputs are consolidated and communicated in a proper manner to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of thought leadership content, including publications, whitepapers, articles, and blog posts.
  • Stay up to date with trends and developments that affect and have relevance for Data Science and Development, both on a national and international level.

Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • Master’s degree in health science, data science, business, public relations, communication or equivalent
  • Significant experience in external affairs, stakeholder engagement, or communications in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in Danish and European external engagements in the areas of data science, the use of AI/ML, -Omics, and related topics in the context of drug development.
  • Strong understanding of the drug development process and regulatory landscape, with specific focus on the EU landscape
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of strategic, organisational, and scientific issues related to drug development in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Structured and systematic mindset with ability to follow-up on a variation of tasks and engagements

The Data Science organization within Novo Nordisk's global Development organization is responsible for clinical data capture, storage, analysis, modeling and simulation as well as the application of artificial intelligence/machine learning.
