Job Description

The position

As (Associate) Business Partner you will drive, facilitate, and develop true value creation for the Data Science organisation to unlock our business aspirations and ensure appropriate resource allocation, prioritisation, and that we make the right investments, ultimately enabling new medicines to patients.

Your responsibilities include:

• Ensure operational excellence across Data Science by creating resource models. Further, analyse where and how to invest in the area and drive smaller operational excellence projects.
• Drive building business cases for new investments to ensure that our big investments are well thought through.
• Follow-up on business cases, work on benefit realisation of these investments, and develop measures of progress of the projects as well as visual traction of business and project goals.
• Be part of the culture in the team, characterized by curiosity, passion, fun, openness, and psychological safety.

Qualifications

To be a successful Associate Business Partner, you have:

• A university degree within Business, Economics, or Science, and at least 1-3 years of full-time work experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a curiosity to understand and dive into problems systematically while focusing on the overall purpose.
• The ability to communicate your ideas, conclusions, and suggested way forward with passion on several levels of the organisation.
• To support operational excellence and build strong business cases, you will work with colleagues across the organisation and often of more senior character, so a flair for stakeholder management is a must.
• Experience from consulting, pharmaceutical industry or technology is an advantage.
• An open mind to take on tasks of varying nature and help scoping them, an open mind to learn, listen to others’ ideas, and a passion for digitalisation is an advantage.

About The Department

In Novo Nordisk, our purpose is to drive change to defeat diabetes and other serious chronic diseases by providing the best sustainable solutions and products. To identify the right solutions for tomorrow, we need to digitalize the way we do development.

Data Science is an area within Development, responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide, from early development phases to product introduction and life cycle management. In Data Science our focus is to deliver data and data insights through advanced analytics to support new drug submission. We provide insights to fact-based decisions on new drugs and indications for Novo Nordisk product portfolio, which make a difference for the patients.

In Data Science Strategic Projects, we coordinate the strategy and deliver on the strategic projects in the Data Science organisation. We’re part delivering on the Data Science strategy, and we drive and oversee implementation. We collaborate and liaise intensively with other areas both within Development and across Novo Nordisk.

We are a newly established small unit of highly engaged individuals. We have fun at work and collaborate with skilled colleagues in delivering tangible results.
