Job Description

As a Test and Validation Engineer, you’ll work as part of a team to plan and execute overall bench, HIL and simulation tests, focusing on ADAS and Self-Driving feature development. You’ll participate in HIL and Bench testing as well as in-vehicle test drives.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the SW/HW engineering project teams to review and understand requirements.
• Design and maintain comprehensive software verification test plans, procedures and test cases to ensure all feature requirements coverage
• Determine and assemble Bench, HIL or simulation test specific setup requirements to perform manual tests
• Create test scripts for test cases to execute automated validation/verification
• Participate in root cause analysis of test failures, assisting in troubleshooting issues found during testing, document and report findings
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Simulation (Hardware and Software in the Loop), Software Systems and TPM teams across the organization to verify system design and coordinate changes as necessary

Qualifications

• BS. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Working knowledge of automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet)
• Experience with engineering tools such as Vector, NI, TraceTronic (ECU-Test)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment
• Good team player with great communication skills
• Passionately motivated to take ideas from development validation to a verified product
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Hands-on approach: Proactively identifies and fills in gaps where needed
• 10 to 15% travel
• Valid US driver license

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Vehicle test of ADAS features
• Test development experience with Python and test scripts
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Confluence, Jira) as well as JAMA
