Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering data captured in native systems to predict and correct anomalous data
  • Develop metrics and statistical models that interpret trends and convert data into insights that improve engineering performance
  • Pivotal part of the analytics team centering on engineering data
    • Including scripted data cleansing, building predictive models, dashboarding, automating workflows, delivering metrics etc.
  • Interface with wider departmental teams applying continuous improvement methodologies to iterate current processes and tools, delivering efficiencies in key areas.
  • Consult in key engineering processes, understanding and applying skillset to remove bottlenecks, leading initiatives to reducing time / effort in affecting areas.
  • Project manage wider initiatives with business analytics team to ensure delivery of product development requirements within enterprise applications
  • Provide matched pair to enterprise IT, the voice for the Product Development function in engineering analytics conversations.
  • Develop comprehensive dashboards that enable better decisions on the product and program, at the right time.
  • Work with the data engineering team to put the right data infrastructure and models in place to support analytics

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, descipline or equivalent STEM Subject
  • 3+ years of experience in product development or data science with emphasis on building hardware
  • Hands on experience in deploying systems, tools, and processes within corporations
  • Deep understanding data visualization toolsets such as tableau, powerBI
  • Strong understanding of Atlassian products such as Jira & confluence
  • Strong statistical programming skills with Python or R
  • Strong background in using Python libraries (NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, Plotly, etc.)
  • Experience in statistical modeling, programming, and manipulating large data sets
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques (regression, simulation, scenario analysis, neural networks, decision tree learning, etc..) and pro/cons on each application and approach
  • Strong resilience and work ethic
