We’re looking for a Marketing Analytics and Data Science Lead to join our Marketing team!

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and own the full cycle of marketing analytics from strategizing to performance evaluation.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of all data sources, building experiments, testing hypotheses, identifying patterns, and providing the necessary business context to translate what it all means and explain why.
  • Define metrics and build a defensible measurement framework to quantify marketing impact and incrementality.
  • Provide insights and actionable recommendations that drive the continuous improvement of marketing performance, optimize marketing strategies, and ultimately accelerate the growth of Snap.
  • Influence marketing tactics and support campaign executions in segmentation, targeting, and creatives based on research and previous learnings.
  • Design, develop and maintain dashboards for benchmarking and optimization.
  • Exploratory analysis that influences longer-term thinking and enhances analytical capabilities and efficiency.
  • Partner closely with data scientists, engineers, and PMs to create Airflow pipelines that power dashboards.
  • Work cross-functionally and partner with brand and media marketers, finance team members, data scientists, and engineers to benchmark performance, solve problems and conduct data analysis at scale.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proficiency in SQL and R or Python
  • Strong statistical knowledge, ability to design experiments (A/B testing, multivariate testing), and conduct rigorous analyses to interpret results
  • Experience in user engagement, LTV, behavior and incrementality analytics
  • Experience in Media Mix Modeling, Propensity Modeling, Clustering Modeling, and Causal Inference techniques
  • Strong understanding of data visualizations and ability to create high-quality dashboards
  • Executes with a high degree of precision, ensuring attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical concepts and their implications to non-experts with diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to create a cohesive data-driven story that can inform marketing strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment
  • High curiosity, hungry to learn, highly self-motivated, with attention to detail, and a passion for applying research in your analyses

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as operations research, statistics, applied mathematics, or other related areas of study, or equivalent years of experience
  • 8+ years of analytics experience across ad efficacy, data science, or business intelligence engineering at a leading ad platform, agency, or research firm

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master or Ph.D degree in math, statistics, operations research, or other quantitative fields
