Job Description

The Snap Lab Computer Vision Team works to solve some of the most important challenges on Computer Vision and Augmented Reality. We're looking for an intern to join the Snap Lab Computer Vision Team in Vienna, Austria office at Snap Inc!.

We work on wearables and look to push the boundaries of what is possible. You’ll work on solving some of our industry’s toughest challenges and develop the next generation of wearable devices. Working from our Vienna office, you’ll develop groundbreaking technology at Snap together with colleagues from our locations in Santa Monica (HQ) and Europe.

We are looking for CV Engineering Interns to join us for an up to 4 months Summer 2024 Internship Program in Vienna!

What you'll do:

• Work on challenging technical projects that align with business and product needs

• Research new techniques to improve speed, quality, and solve new problems for Computer Vision

• Partner closely with mentor and teammates on internship project

• Learn and apply new CV and Software engineering skills

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a PhD program in a technical field such as computer science or electrical engineering with a graduation date no sooner than December 2024

• Must be able to start in office in Vienna, Austria between June and July 2024 for an up to 4 months internship

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Someone who gets excited by tough technical challenges

• Outstanding problem solving skills

• Computer Vision fundamentals

• Experience with Machine Learning

• Strong math background

• Good C++/Python programming skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in one of the following areas:

• Computer Vision (e.g., SLAM, 3D reconstruction, Depth, Tracking)

• Machine Learning for Computer Vision (e.g., segmentation, classification, object detection, object pose tracking, relocalization)

• Computational Photography

• Signal Processing

• Experience from ML prototyping, development and model training using ML frameworks (e.g. Pytorch), network architecture design, network compression for deployment on edge devices,
