We are looking for a Manager, SMB Data Analytics to join Snap Inc. This role will take responsibility for data and insights in key segments of the global SMB business unit. And, help drive SMB’s global business strategy, inform its execution, improve efficiency and facilitate customers’ success at scale.

The successful candidate will drive data-informed strategies for the SMB organization, measuring our business goals and KPIs, conducting deep-dive analyses, and facilitating insights-based decisions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for working directly with our product, growth, sales and marketing teams to define and scale programs to grow advertisers, their revenue and success with Snap Inc. They will have experience managing data or product analytics functions, managing stakeholders, recognizing patterns of success (and failure) quickly, and working with partners from sales to marketing to engineering. Success in this position requires a passion for leadership, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Be the main leader supporting SMB’s global advertiser growth or the revenue organizations.
  • Lead and perform deep-dive analyses using analytical and statistical tools on very large, complex, multi-dimensional datasets.
  • Identify levers for revenue & retention growth, efficiency enhancement and investments to unlock non-linear business growth.
  • Design and influence proactive programs to drive advertiser growth and revenue for the global SMB organization. 
  • Advocate for key SMB-oriented insights and recommendations with partner teams, including product, marketing, sales and operations.
  • Establish a rigorous set of KPIs and metrics (input and output) for measuring advertiser growth, revenue and retention.
  • Provide quantitative support, market understanding and a strategic perspective to SMB and its partner teams on all questions involving small and medium businesses.
  • Drive communication and influence a broad range of stakeholders including executives.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • High comfort with and passion for data driven decision making. 
  • Ability to structure complex problems in simple terms.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching, with a track record of supporting talent growth.
  • Independent thinker, able to operate autonomously on problems that are complex on both the technical and business sides.
  • Ability to influence and shape roadmaps and thinking among both technical and non-technical/business
  • Proficiency in building stories based on insights that ultimately deliver recommendations - no matter the seniority of the audience. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics, or Finance).
  • 8+ years of experience in online media/marketing measurement, analytics, or statistics, preferably in a consumer/SMB business.
  • Experience in SQL, Python and packages such as SAS, R, Matlab, or Stata, along with working knowledge of tools such as Tableau, Qlik or similar such tools.
  • Experience working with sales, marketing, and/or customer service organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in an analytical field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, behavioral or social science, or engineering.
  • Statistical analysis experience, including but not limited to experimental design, regression modeling, and machine learning.
  • Experience working with analytics and ROI measurement with small businesses.
  • Experience with online or digital ad measurement.
