Enterprise Customer Profitability (a.k.a. Profit), is an enterprise application and authorized data source that produces risk adjusted profitability data for ~ 190MM customer accounts each month utilizing instrument level operational data. The scope of enterprise customer profitability spans GBAM, GCB, GWIM and CSBB lines of business. Profit Data Delivery is a global team which supports the maintenance, production and utilization of this data.

As a member of the Profit Data Delivery team, this associate will provide both technical and analytical support for Profit data on PAM (Profitability Analytics Model). This support includes: business partner education and consultation, research and analysis, maintaining governance and controls, validation of data quality and support of change and Profit enhancements. Role will partner closely with offshore teammates and specifically assumes responsibility and accountability for various Profit outbound processes (i.e. Cross Reference tables, Householding and Customer Segmentation).

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide production support, analyzing monthly results and monitoring trends to ensure data quality
  • Providing triage for any production related issues with outbound processes
  • Provide ad-hoc queries, perform research and assist Profit Business leads with business partner inquiries and data requests
  • Advise and consult on the PAM suite of views, tables and data relationships
  • Active participant in change related projects involving support from requirements phase through design, coding, testing and post production validation

Required Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an analytical role
  • Advanced SQL skills with ability to execute complex database queries on big data
  • Experience with Teradata or Hadoop and SQL server environments, as well as tools such as Excel and Access
  • Strong research & analytic skills with the ability to transform data into user information
  • Exposure to and general understanding of financial statements
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Experience in business partnering/consulting
  • Prior experience as a contributing technical member on a project team
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks/responsibilities simultaneously

Desired Skills

  • Experience working with global and cross functional technology teams
  • Understanding of banking products
  • Experience in developing reporting with Alteryx and Tableau
  • Usage and familiarity with Enterprise Customer Profitability (Profit) data, a plus
