About the Role

  • In this opportunity as Senior Data Governance & Steward Partner, you will:
  • Act as a data and model governance consultant and educator on critical data projects.
  • Ensure that Policies, Standards and Guiding Principles are applied efficiently and collaborate with business stakeholders to encourage and ensure DMG practices.
  • Work with data engineering and technology teams to ensure new datasets, new pipelines, migrations, integration etc. follow company DMG practices.
  • Work with cross-functional data owners, SMEs and the data team to monitor and manage data health.
  • Take ownership of the data issue management and resolution process.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies, advancements and automation, and help analysts in the team to identify gaps in data, recommend solutions and oversee implementation of changes.
  • Establish relationships and maintain communications with technology, product and sales teams in the context of data generation, flows, transformation and usage.
  • Help data team maintain extensive documentation on data lineage, data flows, data modifications and workflows etc.

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years experience in one or more of Digital, Data, Models (AI/ML), Analysis, and/or Technology roles
  • Experience applying collaborative problem-solving, negotiation, and change activist skills 
  • Practical experience working within a data ethics/governance framework
  • Process analysis skills, with the ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plans
  • Thorough understanding of data and systems infrastructures 
  • Thorough understanding of data quality management
  • Practical experience working within a data ethics/governance framework
  • Technical skills in exploring, analyzing, profiling,and manipulating data sets (e.g. SQL, Python, Alteryx…)
