About the Role 

  • In this opportunity as the Data Lake Lead Software Engineer – Quality Assurance, you will: Design engineering solutions for automated data quality solutions in a Snowflake data warehouse concentrating on the ingestions and data pipelines that move data from source to use in analytics applications. Integrate quality tools as part of that design. You will collaborate with the Data Lake Engineering Manager, Factory Manager and Data Quality Directot in delivering high quality solutions.
  • Mentor and lead data lake team members in implementation of our advanced technology quality solutions for the data lake warehouse and its functionality. 
  • Be a thought leader investigating leading edge quality technology for data lake warehouse software and systems functionality including performance testing for data pipelines. Understand and partner with lead lake architect and data architect designing technology solutions that support business needs and timelines
  • Innovate with new approaches to meeting data quality and performance requirements
  • Partner across the company with analytics teams, architects, engineering managers, architecture teams and others to design and agree solutions that meet business requirements
  • Effectively communicate and liaise with other data management teams embedded across the organization and data consumers in data science and business analytic groups. 
  • Utilize your experience in the following areas: AWS Cloud Data practices and DevOps tooling
  • Data Warehousing Modeling and Management
  • Automated data quality solutions and tooling
  • Performance testing for data management solutions
  • Data Management and data warehousing processing capabilities
  • Data Security, Privacy, and Compliance Concepts

About You

  • You're a fit for this role if you have demonstrated expertise of 10+ years of experience in implementation automate quality solutions for data an data management systems
  • Advanced command of data warehouse creation, management, and performance strategies
  • Experience engineering and implementing data quality systems in the cloud Proficiency in scripting language such as Python
  • Hands on experience with data test automation using Python or any other tools such as QuerySurge or Datagaps
  • Understanding and exposure to data validations on AWS through various ingestion and processing mechanisms
  • Agile development cadence
  • Fluency in major querying languages such as SQL
  • Intermediate understanding of Big Data technologies
  • Data warehouse modelling techniques. Experience with Data Vault is a plus.
  • AWS services and management, including serverless, container, queueing and monitoring services
  • Understanding and exposure to data validations on AWS through various ingestion and processing mechanisms
  • Programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript
  • Data interchange formats: Parquet, JSON, CSV, Avro,Version control with GitHub
  • Cloud security and compliance, privacy, GDPR
  • Test automation, Web development: HTML, CSS, React
  • Have a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Information Security or related technical field.
