What you will be doing

The Machine Learning Engineering team at Albertsons is seeking an Engineering Manager who is excited about reimagining the grocery experience by harnessing the power of Data & ML. This an excellent opportunity to play a pivotal role on a team that is building Machine Learning capabilities from the ground up.

The Engineering Manager is responsible for building and deploying solutions for forecasting using time-series data. The ideal candidate in this role must have hands-on experience in building training pipelines with real time inferencing.

Main responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Build scalable solutions by collaborating with cross-functional team of ML Engineers, Data Engineers, Architects, API Developers, and Analysts.
• Responsible for planning and building machine learning train and serving pipelines with the ability to think about cost optimization and faster run cycles.
• Keep an eye towards emerging technologies that aid Albertsons stay ahead of the competition.
• Define and own project planning, budget estimation and management, resource planning and assessment, and risk assessment.
• Continuous partnership with cross functional teams to ensure all solutions meet enterprise security, data governance, legal, risk and compliance standards
• Collaborate with leadership on recruiting and retaining high performing engineering team.
• Well-organized, detail oriented, has excellent communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The salary range is $131,100 to $170,340 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.

What we are searching for

Qualifications:

• BS/MS. in Computer Science, Engineering or similar
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on coding, architecting distributed systems, algorithms, and toolsets within the Machine Learning domain
• 5+ years’ experience coding in one of the following languages: Java, Python, Scala
• 3+ years in a management role with direct reports of around or more than 4+
• 3+ years in building or using any machine learning platform, implementing machine learning pipelines and real-time serving APIs.
• Experience in any of the domain areas; Supply chain, Merchandising or personalization.
• Must of knowledge of any data warehouse solutions
