What you will be doing

Help to build Albertsons next generation merchandising customer experience and deliver on a multi-year roadmap that delivers new and transformational merchant and supplier experiences that is integrated in our grocery business.This position is located in Arlington, Texas.

Main responsibilities

The right candidate will be interested in re-imagining the merchandising experience by harnessing the power of store and digital technologies. He/she would work closely with Product, Merchant and Suppliers, Business, UX, Data teams build, enhance, and continuously improve the experience for Albertsons' customers.

What we are searching for

• 4-year degree (Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or relational functional field) and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience.
• 10+ years' experience in building and managing high performance teams
• Deep knowledge of building in ground up and SaaS platform implementation
• Responsible for the design and implementation of software products in a massively scalable, high performance, multi-tenant environment on Java EE, Open Source (Spring, Hibernate), JavaScript (React, NodeJS), NoSQL (Cassandra, Cosmos), and RDBMS (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB), Solr, asynchronous integration using Kafka, JMS, and other message-oriented middleware.
• Experience evaluating and fine-tuning systems for speed, robustness, and cost efficiency by applying strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
• Well versed with building and growing cloud native applications.
• Well versed in digital technology trends including but not limited to micro-services, No-SQL databases, event management and asynchronous transactions.
• Well versed in CI/CD frameworks and ensuring predictable software delivery
• Well versed in frameworks like Angular and React
• Actively propose, review and present technical solutions including architecture design, implementation details and customer and business impacting KPIs
• Work closely with business and product stakeholders to define strategy, vision, and roadmap for top initiatives.
• Good understanding of UX best practices & skilled in project planning, budget estimation and management, resource planning and assessment, financial planning, and risk assessment.
• Strong expectation management, influencing and conflict resolution skills.
• Strong ability to collaborate across various groups, build relationships and manage effectively in a matrix organization.
• Strong ability to motivate teams and coach and train a highly technical team.
• Innovative, out-of-the-box thinker and willingness to push the envelope with creative solutions
• Ability to handle multiple initiatives. Strong experience with Agile.
• Experience building robust automation and performance evaluation frameworks
