Job Title: Research Engineer – Engineering and Validation of Intelligent Systems

Location: Bangalore

This is your role. What part will you play?

You will architect, design, and develop prototypes and technology demonstrators with very high quality to tackle modern and emerging critical business challenges using machine learning and deep learning. Following are (but not limited to) your core business expectations:

• Demonstrate passion for deep understanding of pioneering and emerging applications of machine learning and deep learning in building robust and credible intelligent systems. This includes for instance one or more of explainable AI, drift detection, adversarial testing, performance analysis etc.
• Hands-on skills in applying the above techniques to real industrial problems to deliver solutions to Siemens business globally (includes crafting PoCs/PoVs and integrating with existing Siemens products/applications)
• Continuously hone and upgrade your skills in the constantly evolving technology world: build the future through intellectual property such as patents and publications in prestigious conferences and journals.

• Masters/ Ph.D. in Computer Science (or related fields)
• Excellent knowledge of machine learning and deep learning methods and tools
• Excellent programming skills in Python. Additionally, experience in C/C++ or JAVA is preferred.
• Excellent solid understanding of common Python libraries like Pandas, Numpy, Matplotlib, Seaborn, etc.
• Good solid understanding of frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch, etc.
• Knowledge of concepts like CNNs, RNNs, GANs, LLMs etc.
• Good solid understanding of software engineering methodologies.
• Knowledge of crafting quick prototypes with basic front end using frameworks like Flask/Django/Stream lit/FastAPI is helpful.
• Solid understanding of virtualization/containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is helpful.
• Ability to build and deploy solutions in Cloud environments like AWS is desired.

Soft Skills

• You have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• While you are self-motivated and capable of working independently, you are also comfortable in teams.

Qualifications

• Masters/ Ph.D. in Computer Science (or related fields)
• Technical papers at prestigious conferences and journals would be a plus
