Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leader in electronic design automation. We enable companies to develop better electronic products faster and more cost-effectively. We are seeking a high-energy, experienced Data Scientist to join our team.

Core responsibilities will include analyzing infrastructure utilization and availability data, security scanning data and asset management data against established KPI metrics. You will use your analytical skills to normalize data, reveal trends, highlight improvement opportunities, and visualize it for operational and executive level reporting. You will need to be proficient in statistics, have a proven track record in data analysis and preparing reports for stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be self-driven and curious and possess the ability to work as part of a highly diverse, cross-functional team in a dynamic business environment.

This position resides at our Wilsonville Oregon location and reports to the Director of the TechOps Program Office.

Requirements:

  • Three+ years working in a data scientist role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • Coding knowledge and experience in several languages: for example, [R, Python/Jupyter, SAS, Java, Scala, C++, Excel, MATLAB, etc.].
  • Strong mathematical skills to collect, measure, organize and analyze data.
  • Technical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, statistical analysis, techniques for data mining, and data visualization.
  • Experience with popular database programming languages including [SQL, PL/SQL, others] for relational databases and upcoming nonrelational databases such as [NoSQL/Hadoop-oriented databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, others] is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data visualization software like Tableau or Qlik.
  • Adept at queries, writing reports, and making presentations.
  • Strong collaboration and team-working skills.
  • Problem-solving skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven working experience in data science projects

Must currently reside in either greater Wilsonville, Oregon or Huntsville, Alabama.
