The objective of the master's thesis is to examine the effectiveness of AI techniques in data generation, pre-processing, and classification, specifically for time series classification, and to apply these techniques to the detection of DC series electric arc faults or public time series dataset. The thesis will focus on the following specific goals, which can be adjusted based on personal interests:

• Collect and analyze data using AI tools to investigate the problem.
• Compare various methods for data generation, such as Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN), autoencoders, and data augmentation, to identify an effective approach.
• Implement and evaluate AI algorithms for time series classification based on selected dataset.
• Perform hyperparameter tuning to optimize the algorithms and test their performance on the test-bench with Nvidia accelerator.

• You study in the field of Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science or similar
• You are familiar with Python
• You have already gained initial experience in using AI or Embedded C
• Initial practical experience in general is an advantage
• You have very good German or English language skills
