Job Description

The Siemens incubator for electrification develops the next generation of smart grid applications and digital platforms. You will play a critical role in this endeavor. We are looking for a dedicated individual that wants to be part of the team that re-defines how smart grid technologies are developed and used. You will work closely with other software and hardware engineers in a start-up type environment backed up by the substantial resources of a large-scale company.

What role will you play?

• Build predictive and machine learning models with algorithms such as Neural Networks, Decision Trees, Boosting / Ensemble methods, Clustering, etc
• Constantly innovating by creating new variables; improve modeling techniques to increase model performance;
• Maintain and refine existing Models and procedures for building high-end analytical modeling processes
• Data Analysis of large volumes of IoT data.

We are looking for:

• Experience with machine learning, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms in academic or internship environments
• Experience using Python, Pandas, Scikit-learn. Deep learning is a plus.
• Knowledge of an programming language including Python, Java, Javascript, C#
• Ability to leverage expertise in data gathering, analytical, and problem-solving work
• Demonstrates working knowledge of statistics
• Possess good technical writing skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Fluency in English
