Job Description

The Intuit Data Engineering team is looking for a Software Engineer 2, Big Data with a winning track record in Software Engineering and Distributed Systems. We’re using data in groundbreaking ways to uncover customer insights, personalize customer experiences through AI/ML, and provide a unified customer view across all Intuit products.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years professional Java coding experience
• Experience writing SQL
• Exposure to cloud technologies (nice to have): Aws or GCP or Azure
• Strong CS fundamentals including data structures and algorithms
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Develop web services that make big data available in real-time for in-product applications.
• Design and build scalable, best-in-class data products in close coordination with our engineering teams in other geographies
• Customer empathy and delight will be the main drivers for success
• Design end to end data pipelines given business and ops requirements (ingestion, processing and storage).
• Conduct code reviews and build with a high level of quality
• Focus on operational excellence through root cause analysis and continuous improvement. Ability to proactively follow issues through to resolution will be important.
• Contribute to innovations that fuel the growth of Intuit around the world

Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is NY $126,000 - $170,500, CA $126,000 - $170,500. This position will be eligible for a cash bonus, equity rewards and benefits, in accordance with our applicable plans and programs (see more about our compensation and benefits at Intuit®: Careers | Benefits). Pay offered is based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
