Job Description

Who We Are:

The Intelligent Systems Division develops automated solutions for commercial and government clients in multiple domains including transportation (traffic management, connected automated vehicle), manufacturing robotics, medical prognostics, and communication standards.

Objectives of this Role:

  • Applying Theory to Practice: Apply your passion for software and problem solving skills to come up with solutions for complex problems from deep space to deep seas.
  • Work with small teams to develop and test software fo projects from space and science.
  • Development is typically in Python, C, C++, or C#. Interest in understanding formal secure software development process and best practices applies.
  • Serve in a junior software developer role on teams focused on delivering innovative solutions for traffic coordination, big data processing and analysis, computer vision, machine learning, and intelligent decision support systems.
  • Design and code, often for complex solutions, products that directly affect the lives and actions of the travelling public.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Develop software in C, Python, or C++ for space flight applications/instrumentation.
  • Participate in team meetings, code reviews, etc as part of an integrated software development team.
  • Develop test scripts that aid in application integration, verification, and validation testing phases.
  • Develop software solutions for intelligent system applications.

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelors, Masters, or a PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with related experience.
  • 0-5 years: Educational background and experience with software, programming languages, and understanding of good software development practices.
  • 0-5 years: Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well both individually and as a member of a project team
  • experience in C, Python, C++, and C# programming languages is preferred.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required

Special Requirements:

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
