Job Description

Objectives of this Role:

  • Participate as part of a team whose function is to develop synthetic routes to drug candidates, synthesize new analogues and scale them up to manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients.
  • Develop new chemical methodologies and discover new catalysts, may assist in chemical modeling and AI/ML development.
  • May also be asked to determine and write statements of work, proposals, and reports.
  • Assist in scale-up efforts in pilot plant for cGMP and non-cGMP small molecule synthesis

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Execute chemical reactions and isolate and characterize the products.
  • Design experiments to optimize chemical reactions.
  • Be willing to learn new analytical and chemical techniques and apply them in the laboratory independently or as part of a team.
  • Participate in attracting new clients, propose new chemistries or technological areas and draft proposals.
  • Be willing to learn in silico modeling techniques, AI/ML assisted data extraction and processing for advanced catalyst and drug development.

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelors, Masters, or a PhD in Chemistry
  • Shift work required.
  • Those with a graduate degree must have pursued Synthetic Chemistry in their academic research.
  • 0-2 years: Experience working in an organic chemistry laboratory and be familiar using chemical glassware.
  • Knowledge of NMR, HPLC, TLC and LC/MS is encouraged but not mandatory
  • Have familiarity with one or more of the following analytical techniques: NMR, TLC, HPLC, IR, LC/MS
  • Have some experience writing one or more of the following: proposals, white papers, SOP's, journal articles or batch records
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required

Special Requirements:

Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
