Job Description

Objectives of this Role:

• A postdoctoral engineer to research, design, develop, and troubleshoot embedded control systems.
• Meet project requirements by consulting staff and clients to determine, recommend, and plan solutions.
• Apply principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to meet project requirements.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing software and control systems.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with staff and clients to design, develop, and troubleshoot embedded control systems.
• Develop, document, and execute testing routines or procedures to verify proper system operation.
• Take and analyze data to research, troubleshoot and design systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Requires a PhD in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 0-5 years: Software development
• 0-3 years: Embedded software development (C/C++/Verilog)
• 0-3 years: Hands-on research
• 0-3 years: Electronics and instrumentation a plus (e.g. oscilloscopes/logic analyzers)
• A valid/clear driver's license is required.

Special Requirements:

Work assignment is in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to ITAR work in section.
