Job Description

In this role, you will partner with the business client community to analyze, recommend, and provide technology solutions. As a subject matter expert, collaborate with IT, business clients, and/or solution providers to improve productivity and enhance processes in support of the client's business goals.

 Tasks and responsibilities  

  • Consulting and Analysis: Meet regularly with defined clients and stakeholders to understand and analyze their processes and needs. Determine requirements to present possible solutions or improvements.
  • Client Support: Perform baseline system support, administrative and maintenance duties for assigned systems. Troubleshoot application and system problems.
  • Project/Solution Activities: Support goals by participating on project teams. Deliver on assigned tasks and action items.
  • Software Development Activities: Leverage knowledge of applications / systems and underlying architecture. Maintains awareness of IT process best practices, technology trends and emerging technologies.
  • Documentation: Determine documentation requirements and produce documentation as required in support of baseline and project activities.

Requirements   

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any related field
  • At least 4 years of professional experience as a Consultant or SME working with IT and the Business
  • Experience working with AWS services and related tools (ex. json, yaml, OpenShift).
  • Proficient programming R and Shiny in a Bioanalytical, Real World Evidence or similar discipline
  • Experience in SQL, ‘big data’ ETL concepts and data modeling.
  • Experience with these technologies/programming languages is a plus:
  1. Competent in Rstudio/Shiny Programming

    2. Competent in Python programming.

    3. Understanding of Snowflake and/or Redshift.

    4. Understanding of PowerBI and / or Tableau visualization software.

    5. Understanding of Apache ecosystem (Hadoop, Spark, Parquet, Arrow). Aong with linux, scripting, docker.

  • Proven analytical skills to understand related IT standards and technology trends, climate, and challenges strongly preferred. 
  • Ability to identify, analyze, and recommend software systems and technologies preferred that will positively impact the domain of Real World Evidence, Market Access and HEOR.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with project management. Certification in SCRUM or another Agile framework is a plus. 
  • Excellent communication skills to convey IT related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff strongly preferred. 
  • Fluent in English including written and oral presentation skills preferred.
