Job Description

This role will focus on enabling growth for CFG’s Business Banking segment by delivering customer insights specifically built for sales deployment. The candidate will partner with business and technology teams within the bank to deliver these insights to appropriate sales channel and will assume the responsibility of ensuring feedback loop into the analytical solutions for continuous test and learn.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with complex business data. Experience with marketing, customer data in financial services is desirable. Possess strong analytical, data and communication skills; and demonstrate ability to work well in a team environment. 

In this role, you will:

• Develop programs including machine learning models to consistently deliver sales leads to colleagues working with Business Banking customers.
• Build foundational analytical engineering feature store from customer / marketing databases including financial transactional data.
• Lead the development of decision science-based solutions including machine learning as well as other quantitative techniques 
• Generate and deliver analytically built sales leads to drive customer deepening and portfolio growth.
• Partner with other data/analytics/technology colleagues to integrating the delivery of such solutions into Salesforce and other CRMs /Sales channels.
• Enable feedback loop and measurement through establishing regular flow of sales disposition data to optimize lead selection and assess sales performance 
• Coordinate with stakeholders and business partners on lead development and delivery strategy
• Document and communicate analytical insights for both technical and non-technical audiences, often within an Agile working structure
• Conduct measurement of sales lead and related programs to assess the value of specific analytics initiatives 
• Develop experimental designs to test and learn effectiveness of commercial outreach efforts.
• Continuously innovate through exploration of new analytical techniques, platforms, and data sources
• Implement robust data management skills to ensure integrity of data sourced and applied for analytical implementation. 

Required Skills/Experience

• 3-6 years of work experience in building, testing, and deploying machine learning models in production. 
• Solid mathematical understanding of ML and optimization algorithms. 
• Fluent programming skills in Python.
• Proficient in working with SQL and large databases.
• Some experience working with customer data including marketing / sales/ risk / underwriting.
• Strong verbal communication skills required with an ability to successfully communicate analytic results, business insights, and resulting business implications to non-technical business partners.
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues with diverse skills and background.

Required Education 

Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science or degree in Business with quantitative specialization.

Desired Qualifications

Skills/Experience

• Prior experience in financial services or customer analytics is desirable. 
• Experience with distributed/parallel computing tools such as Spark, and/or related big data technologies.
• Experience using AWS Sagemaker.

Education

• Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or Statistics, or Business degree with quantitative specialization.
