Job Description

  • Set the vision for a best-in-class delivery system for predictive models
  • Direct analytical strategy to optimize the effectiveness of targeting models in driving incremental prospect acquisition and customer deepening
  • Measure the value of specific analytics initiatives and track the increase in business profitability that can be claimed by each individual analytics use case
  • Serve as a thought leader in partnership with key stakeholders to enhance business results and identify business process improvement opportunities based on analytical insights
  • Interpret results to influence and be a trusted advisor to stakeholders and senior management 
  • Own the analytical strategy and book of work for the Consumer Banking Analytics team, including building intelligence to support continuous improvement across the full lifecycle of marketing campaigns
  • Lead a team of experienced and entry-level data scientists, providing career mentorship and hands-on technical guidance 
  • Guide experimental designs to meet business objectives
  • Continuously innovate through exploration of new techniques, platforms, and data sources

Experience and Skills:

  • 3 years of experience in a leadership position with accountability for team performance and mentoring
  • 10 years of experience in applied statistical and predictive modeling, including supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques and recommendation and optimization algorithms
  • 8 years of experience in applying statistical methods to real-world marketing business problems, preferably within financial services, including A/B testing, customer journey analytics, financial analysis of marketing campaigns, and investment optimization
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL as well as Python or R; familiarity with SAS
  • A desire to lead a data science team and set a tone of collaboration, openness, growth, and execution in alignment with an agile mindset
  • A disciplined approach to making decisions and setting expectations
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate analytical results and recommendations verbally and in writing to senior leadership
  • A commitment to intellectual rigor and observance of regulatory & policy requirements, data privacy controls, and responsible & explainable AI

Education and Certifications:

  • Master’s or PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Data Science/Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance or related fields

Hours & Work Schedule

Hours per Week: 40

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Pay Transparency 

The salary range for this position is $152,000 - $200,000, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
