Job Description

Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: 

Primary job function is to perform cutting-edge R&D in machine learning and optimization. Tasks will include the development, simulation, evaluation, and implementation of machine learning and optimization algorithms with a wide range of applications related to novel computing systems and autonomous systems. Additional job functions include solving customer problems, writing invention disclosures and papers, briefing customers, writing proposals and assisting in marketing HRL expertise.

EXPERIENCE DESIRED: 

Research experience in one or more of the following areas: optimization, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and decision making for autonomous systems. Experience developing innovative solutions based upon the application of relevant research results from a wide variety of sources. Familiarity with either Python or C/C++.

EDUCATION DESIRED:

Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Math, or related field.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

Good communication (verbal and written) skills, software programming, and active participation in R&D team activities.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

U.S. citizen status. Active TS clearance or ability to obtain one. Able and willing to work on classified programs.

Compensation:

The base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 - $200,000 + bonus + benefits.
