Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the drive towards DevOps methodology with development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, docker containerization, automation, and API integrations.
  • Ensure overall end-to-end product quality and process best practices. This includes, but not limited to, incorporation of developer code quality gates in CI, automation of testing environments, managing process and product documentation.
  • Drive the packaging and deployment strategies as well as automation of product delivery.
  • Interact with cross functional technology teams, understand requirements, identify process gaps and propose solutions.
  • Take ownership in design and follow product lifecycle approaches to support feature development.
  • Troubleshoot applications, fix bugs, and make enhancements to existing automated pipelines.
  • Participate in general design and test plan reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

OR

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

  • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Ideal candidates for this position will demonstrate the following:

  • 5+ years industry experience as DevOps and/or Release engineer, managing complex system integration and releases.
  • Experience working with containerization technologies such as Docker
  • Experience with Source Control Management(GIT) and CI/CD systems (Jenkins, Gitlab CI, TeamCity or similar)
  • Expertise with Python and in scripting languages (Bash)
  • Experience with Linux or Unix based OS systems software development environment
  • Experience with automated generation and maintenance of complex software documentation.
  • Previous experience working in an Agile environment, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams

Preferred:

  • Programming/debugging skills in more than one programming languages (C/C++, Java, Python, JavaScript)
  • Some experience working with deep learning models training / inference pipelines.
  • Experience of profiling software and optimization techniques.
  • Experience with Windows software development environment.
  • Experience with Android or other embedded systems and developing tools for embedded platforms.
  • Ability to collaborate across a globally diverse team and multiple interests

Pay range:

$126,000.00 - $189,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
