As part of Valeo’s Comfort & Driving Assistance Systems Business Group, the site in Lübeck specializes in software development, machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions. It offers sensor-agnostic disruptive software for our Interior Cocoon solutions, in particular gesture recognition and behavior tracking. The office and lab of gestigon are located in Lübeck, Germany.

These challenges await you as System Engineer (m/f/d) - Algorithm Development

• Development of radar detection and classification algorithms for vehicle in-cabin monitoring systems
• Concept and design of occupant monitoring functions 
• Implementation of Algorithms in Matlab and C++
• Further improvement of existing software for automotive series production
• Specification of requirements for the sensor hardware
• System and integration tests in the laboratory and in the (pre-series) vehicle
• Presentation of system performance to the customer and internal Valeo teams
• Collaboration in pre-development and series projects, cooperation with customer representatives, occasionally also on site

You inspire us with that:

• Degree in Communications Engineering or comparable technical discipline
• Profound knowledge in the field of radar technology, signal processing and classification algorithms
• Good knowledge of programming languages C/C++
• Ability to work in a team as well as a solution-oriented, innovative, creative and independent way of working
• Very good English and German skills
• Good knowledge of current signal processing and AI frameworks (i.e. Tensor Flow) is advantageous
