We are an automotive supplier, a partner to all automakers worldwide. As a technological company, we design innovative products and systems that contribute to reduction of CO2 emissions and to development of automated driving. In our Research and Development center in Prague we employ seven hundred engineers. They are those who stand behind the latest systems of active safety (ADAS) and autonomous driving. What does it mean? Software, hardware engineers, together with mechanical designers, test and system engineers develop sensors and systems for safe and comfortable driving. Automated parking systems, automated emergency braking, blind spot detection and road sign recognition are just a few examples.

We are looking for an experienced professional for our newly open role of IT/IS Big Data Infrastructure Architect.

Your Challenges:

• Design, configuration, deployment and maintenance of IT Infrastructure components for Big Data Platform (Cloud and on-prem compute clusters for R&D and System Validation of Autonomous Driving & Advanced Driving Assistance Systems)
• Sizing of storage solutions (eg. ONTAP NAS), preparation of networking requirements, hosting design (rack/cabling plans, eg.), architectural overviews
• End-to-end technical analysis of the proposed solutions based on project requirements.
• Support and design of storage systems based on NetApp ONTAP c-mode (L3/L4)
• Troubleshooting, performance optimizations, identification of design gaps and remediation suggestions, automation.
• Cooperation on new storage systems design (HPC solutions).
• Internal and external system hosting support.
• Preparation of documentation and operational processes for the designed components.
• Hybrid Cloud/On-prem system design with integration into a central data management system.
• RFI/RFQ documentation creation and process support, technology proof-of-concepts and benchmarks.
• Requirements preparation and technical coordination support for Data Centers design, realization and project deployments.
• Coordinate vendor and contractor activities related to the tasks.

Let's talk about you...

• Knowledge of computer networks (LAN, WAN) and IP technologies
• NetApp administrator with 3+ years of practical experience on ONTAP c-mode (NCDA welcome) with knowledge of other storage solutions as an advantage.
• Very good knowledge of commonly used ethernet/network/internet protocols used in NAS and cloud environments.
• Administration knowledge of common operating systems and technologies (Linux, Windows).
• Knowledge of HPC storage, tiering, tape technologies and backup solutions are an advantage.
• Knowledge of storage tiering to the cloud (AWS) is an advantage.
• Experience in Troubleshooting and Performance analysis.
• Good knowledge of routing and firewall principles.
• Optionally Programming in PowerShell and/or Python.
• English written and spoken.
