Valeo is a major automotive supplier, partner of automobile manufacturers around the world. Driving Assistance Research (DAR) is a research and innovation center focused on autonomous vehicles, from highway to urban driving, located in France, Germany, the United States, Japan and China. Based in Créteil, you will join a research team on perception, based on Deep Learning from raw data from Valeo sensors (camera, lidar, etc.).

Vos challenges :

• Propose and improve software architectures and design patterns for our core software frameworks for neural networks.
• Develop reusable software components for machine learning applications, primarily in python 
• Proximity with ML engineers for feedback and use case implementation
• Contribute and improve software coding standards (PEP8 and code reviews) 
• Build automated software tests for continuous integration 
• Analyze and optimize software efficiency (execution time analysis, multithreading)

Let's talk about you...

• You hold a master's degree or an engineering degree in the field of IT. 
• You have at least 3 years of experience as a software developer (python preferred) 
• You have strong skills in design patterns and software architectures.
• Python-related coding standards (PEP8) are a must. 
• Ideally, you are familiar with the field of AI and Deep Learning frameworks, such as pytorch and tensorflow.
• You are fluent in English (oral and written).
• You have an open and curious mind, excellent interpersonal skills and know how to adapt to work within a growing team.

Furthermore...

• Experience on Git / Gerrit
• Previous experience in automotive / mobile robotics / embedded software desired 
• Jenkins / continuous integration 
• You have experience maintaining Linux servers
