A commitment to teamwork and an ability to work cross-functionally with both business and technical partners as well as strong communication skills to communicate clearly both to the leadership team as well as to emerging talent in a fast-paced startup environment are indispensable skills.

You will be the COO of the product, the glue that binds the product and teams together, and the voice of all technical aspects of the product and the teams that build it.

  • Collaborating with program management and solutions engineering to understand customer requirements and pain points, and to drive customer success.
  • Managing and converting requirements into well-organized sprint boards with clearly defined, prioritized, and scoped stories, features, and bugs.
  • Having answers to technical as well as “why?” questions at your fingertips for all questions relating to the product and knowing which team members to bring to the table for deeper discussions or problem/conflict resolution.
  • Ensuring our internal technical documentation is of high quality.
  • Defining and improving our requirements gathering, software engineering processes, and how we translate research into products.
  • Managing risk, prioritization, and all the trade-offs that a rapidly growing startup must make in order to execute under conditions of uncertainty.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving issues that may impair the team's ability to meet tactical, strategic, and technical goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience as a technical product manager for enterprise analytics, machine learning, or AI-based products in a complex and/or highly technical domain.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally, interfacing and partnering with all levels of the Gauss Labs organization including research, engineering, solutions, program management, and leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in software engineering, data, cloud computing, distributed systems, analytics, and AI technologies, a product management skill set, and a roll-up-your-sleeves, entrepreneurial approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to dive deep into technical details and ask engineers insightful questions about the services and dependencies you influence.
