Job Description

At Gauss Labs we are looking for a passionate Data Engineer who will collaborate with scientists and engineers to improve manufacturing efficiency and reliability in IC manufacturing using data and artificial intelligence.

This role is responsible for provisioning, automating, and managing our data storage system for real-time sensor data. It is also responsible for the implementation of storage systems that enable efficient comparison of different ML models.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data quality monitoring for real-time data streams, as well as automated error recovery mechanisms
• Automate provisioning and management of data lakes on on-prem computing cluster and on cloud service such as Azure
• Implement reusable, serverless ETL modules
• Implement efficient and scalable storage and retrieval of inference results for thousands of models in parallel and in real-time.
• Contribute to the MLOps platform and develop tools to help ML teams be more effective

Basic Qualifications

• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in quantitative fields (CS, Statistics, Math, or Engineering)
• 3+ years of work experience as Data Engineer
• Experience with building end-to-end machine learning systems
• Experience building scalable micro services and ETL pipelines
• Proficient in Python, SQL, and ideally Scala
• Prior experience with load testing tools such as locust or io
• Familiarity with Apache Beam
• Prior work with Spark or DASK
• Knowledge of at least one build tooling system
• Experience with Infra-As-Code tools such as Terraform, and configuration automation tools such as Jenkins
