Job Description

As manager of the Solutions engineering team, you will be responsible for partnering with our customers to help them with customization and deployment, adoption, utilization, maintenance, and support of Gauss Lab’s products. You will employ your experience in enterprise software solutions, large-scale data analytics, and cloud solutions, and AI and Machine learning applications to shepherd the user teams in deploying our products, integrating with their workflows, and transforming manufacturing through adoption of our products in core processes. You will also be responsible for product maintenance, customer support for technical product issues as well as customer training.

You will interface with the customer and Gauss Labs leadership, product and engineering teams, and the program management teams to manage the customer accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Working with customers to identify opportunities, design solutions to integrate Gauss Labs products; Collaborating with PMO and Product/business development team to define and clarify technical and business needs
  • Collaborating with the customers’ engineering, technical, IT, and data science teams
  • Building a roadmap for business outcome alignment, acceptance criteria and continuous measurement
  • Creating an appropriate solutions architecture to enable Gauss Labs’ product integration to customer workflows
  • Customizing and deploying Gauss Labs products per the customer requirements, operations constraints and system environments - this includes creating/maintaining new customer intake documentation, system requirements documentation/questionnaires/collateral, best practices, validated architectures etc.
  • Enabling migration from existing workflows/processes to those supported by GLI products
  • Providing customers with the technical and engineering guidance for effective product integration, use, requirements, operation, and adoption
  • Maintenance, reliability and efficiency of product and backend infrastructure
  • Build best practices for product development, test, release and change management
  • Build and maintain solutions/product evaluation and validation pipeline, support CI/CD on improved features and ascertain product performance
  • Provide product maintenance and technical support per the SLA - Create standard operating procedures and escalation procedures for different levels of issues/tickets.
  • Manage cadence by leading the reporting and tracking functions on product utilization, performance and gaps
  • Enable customer success and support executive briefings
  • Evangelize products across customers, build requisite training plans and lead customer adoption of the products
  • Distill customer requirements for additional product features and collaborate with Product and engineering teams to plan relevant feature rollouts
  • Build a roadmap and execute new feature introductions, product releases and updates without disrupting customer operations

Basic Qualifications

  • Highly technical with an ability to understand new domains, and customer requirements and draw upon experience to devise appropriate solutions architecture to enable customer success
  • Able to lead geographically and culturally diverse teams of software and solutions engineers and developers
  • Hands-on with an ability to build and grow a strong team
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related quantitative discipline (Masters/Ph.D. preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise IT, managing technical programs in a customer-facing capacity
  • 5+ years of experience managing software development, solutions or software engineering teams
  • Excellent problem solving and effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with both technical and management audiences, and a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent product and project management skills (PMP, SCRUM/Agile, SAFe, AWS certifications preferred)
  • Experience in DevOps and MLOps
  • Experience in leading solutions through the entire software engineering lifecycle all the way to delivery
  • Ability to operate successfully in a customer-focused environment balancing product specs and customer needs for successful deployment, integration, and adoption
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivator, and someone who leads by example
  • Ability to devise creative solutions for challenging problems, especially in a fast-paced startup; Ability to operate effectively under uncertainty
